RF Systems Engineer

We are currently searching the Baltimore, MD area for an RF Systems Engineer with Motorola P25 systems experience. This is a long term assignment through 2020. Candidate will have experience in the following disciplines:

  • At least three years of experience within planning, designing, managing and operating Land Mobile Radio system deployment or operations.
  • Must have experience in VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz band systems and P25 simulcast and trunked technologies.
  • At least three years of experience with engineering tools such as radio propagation software, geographical information systems, and rack layout software
  • Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Experience with narrowband and broadband wireless systems
  • Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch software system deployment and management
  • Experience with 9-1-1 system deployment and management
  • Experience with public safety grade system development standards and management (such as Motorola R56)

Systems RF Engineer - Contract Opportunity with Possible Full-Time Employment

Scope of Responsibility/Expectations:

Qualified applicants will have extensive P25 infrastructure experience as you will be responsible for US Federal customer’s radio system.

Candidates must have 8+ years as an electronic or systems engineer with a Bachelors’ Degree. Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance as required by US government contract and undergo continuing background and financial investigation. Candidate must have a current, valid driver’s license, no traffic violations.

Experience in the design and implementation of wireless networks, microwave networks, P25 network technology, propagation analysis, drive testing, model tuning, experience with propagation tools, RF site evaluation, site candidate evaluation/selection, link budget analysis, coverage and capacity planning, frequency planning, interference analysis, network optimization and zoning support. Must have specific knowledge of P25 LMR. Manage the day-to-day configuration and requirements for onsite customer.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Perform enterprise-wide business process re-engineering in support of configuring as-is and improved business process workflows in the various products being implemented.
  • Work closely with the customers’ departments to implement and manage the system
  • Identify, manage and implement inter-departmental business process workflows to insure maximum efficiency of the system's usage.
  • Establish and manage work schedules with required parties to ensure the subject matter experts are available for business process workflow discussions and validation.
  • Work with end users, supervisors and senior managers within customer’s organization to apply best practices across all functions of Government. Specifically, our resources understand the business processes for all departments.
  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Exceptional customer service skills. 

Experience in tactical communications P25 and radio network engineering, design, and integration; radio network, router and hub equipment operation and management; voice-over-packet router nodes and networks; VoIP equipment in radio networks; managing, operating and maintaining radio NOC; preparing reports; RF or IP Networks; configuring/installation of Motorola A7.15 Networking equipment (GGM8000, S6000, 2626, SRC7500, etc.)

Qualified applicant must have an understanding in the following areas; Motorola Conventional, SmartZone, Simulcast, MCC Console systems, Secure Operation, Deployable Systems, Integrated Voice and Data, Astro 3.1 Digital and ASTRO A7.15 Digital systems and installation procedures. Applicant must also have the ability to apply new topologies such as OTAP, OTAR and Radio Management. 

Field Service Technician - Temp to Permanent Opportunity

Monday – Friday 8-5, hours may vary due to customer need. Installation of communication, electrical and/or mechanical equipment. Assist in the assembly and installation of equipment in vehicles; maintain test equipment, update repair parts & supplies, test equipment operation, and various related duties.
