Associate RF Engineer - Full Time Opportunity

Lincoln Park, NJ

Entry Level/Recent Grad with BSEE and interest in wireless communications.  Associate RF Engineer will assist the higher level RF Engineers and Specialists to complete projects by performing basic hands-on functions.  A successful incumbent will be able to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the job while maintaining professional relations with clients to ascertain data needed to complete projects.   

Mandatory Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering or 1 year experience as an RF Intern or Optimization Specialist
  • Strong Oral and Written English skills
  • Strong Mathematical Foundation
  • Fluency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
  • Reliable Work Ethic

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Routinely assists in zoning and testimony preparation by creating maps, summary sheets and zoning exhibits using information collected from the Client
  • Reviews drawings LE/ZD/CD
  • Occasionally performs testing of new and existing cell sites test equipment
  • Supports investigation of search areas
  • Utilizes drive testing equipment to collect signal level drive data while adhering to the Company’s Vehicle Procedure*
  • Analyzes baseline data to determine gaps in wireless coverage
  • Analyzes CW data to determine coverage potential for future sites
  • Completes design visits, tower site and rooftop visits
  • Designs site antenna configuration and site equipment requirements
  • Performs inter modulation studies and analyzes data
  • Performs computer propagation simulations using RF software
  • Prepares and issues FCC / FAA Filings
  • Participates in the engineering of special projects
  • Reviews traffic statistics and recommends action plans
  • Researches frequency bands and licensing using the FCC ULS database
  • Performs empirical and analytical analysis of Maximum Permissible Exposure Limits (MPE)
  • Performs other duties, tasks and work as may be assigned

RF Engineer - Full Time Opportunity

This is a mid-level RF Engineer with experience in RF design, drive testing, propagation analysis, expert testimony and site designs.  To qualify you must have wireless communication design training and 3-5+ years’ experience in wireless/telecommunications industry.  Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat).  Experience with  MapInfo, Terrain Navigator, MS Visio, MS Access, MS Project, ComSite Design, ComSite Pro, along with experience in 2-Way, HAM or Land Mobile Radio systems required.

Systems Technologist - Contract Opportunity

Brooklyn, NY

This is a contract opportunity for a Systems Technologist with basic communications concepts and understanding of RF telecommunications. Technologist will provide post sales installation and maintenance response of communication products. You will perform hardware installations, site equipment audits and responds to customer service requests. Works to resolution in a break fix environment. Primarily focused on mobile and station work associated with Conventional, SmartNet Trunking, and Paging Systems; single-site conventional, trunked or paging customers.  The Systems Technologist will provide primary point of contact for 2-5 customer sites plus mobile backup for other technologists. Must have an Associates Degree or Technical certificate or military training and 2 years technical work experience.
